What we collect
MicroDrama.gd is free to watch and does not require an account. Most visitors give us nothing but the technical data below. You only ever hand over personal details by choosing to — by creating an account, or writing to us through one of our forms.
From every visitor, automatically:
- Your IP address, used for rate-limiting, abuse protection, and to enforce one rating per visitor per episode.
- Aggregate view counts on episodes.
- Standard web-server access logs (URL, status code, user agent, timestamp).
Only if you choose to:
- If you create an account: your email address, your chosen username, and your watch progress. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash and can never be read back.
- If you write to us through the contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you put in your message.
- If you send a copyright notice through our DMCA form: the identifying and contact details the law requires a notice to contain, described in its own section below.
Copyright notices
A copyright notice sent through our DMCA form asks for more than anything else on this site: your full legal name, a postal address, a telephone number, your job title and the organization you act for. These are not optional extras — 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) requires them, and a notice without them is not legally effective.
Because a notice is a legal record of a request to remove someone else’s content, we keep it for as long as we may need to account for having acted on it, rather than deleting it on request. Two things follow that you should know before you send one:
- A copy of your notice, including your contact details, may be forwarded to the party who supplied the material complained of. They are entitled to know who is asking for its removal.
- Your notice may be published to a third-party transparency database such as the Lumen database.
You confirm that you understand both of these on the form itself, before you sign it.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to remember small preferences such as your "auto-play next episode" toggle. We do not use tracking cookies.
How we use this data
- Operate, maintain, and improve the website.
- Prevent abuse (spam ratings, scraping, denial of service).
- Calculate aggregate popularity, ratings, and trending lists.
Third parties
Video and image assets may be loaded from third-party CDNs.
Children
MicroDrama.gd is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

For access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, use the contact form and choose “A privacy or data request”.
Copyright and takedown requests go through the DMCA form instead, which collects everything a valid notice must legally contain and gives you a reference you can follow.
